Hesitation was written all over her
face.. her 'excuse' plan was a big flop.. she didn’t want to be at a party
where she would have to sit alone.. parties were boring.. she just enjoyed them
with her best buddies.. it didn’t matter to her where she was, but with whom
she spent the time with… but her office gang was a big time show off..
gossipers.. which she didnt relate to… but now they were at her doorstep..
waiting for her.. n she didn’t have any choice but to join them.. Darshana came
in, “Hey.. haven’t you changed yet..??”
“ya.. actually I just came home.. and
you guys called..”
a moment she thought of smthg.. “I’ll
get ready n come.. my bro will drop me.. you guys go ahead..”
Advaid knew wht was cooking in his sister's
mind..
“ Oh.. so you are Darshana.. Di’s
colleague..”
“Yaaa.. n you obviously are her bro…”
“Cant you guys wait for 10mins..? Di
will be done in that time.. isn’t it..?” he loved putting her in such kinda
mess, he knew neither will she deny it, nor shout at him.. (oh.. may b later..
but then it wont matter!!) he thought to himself wit a mischievous smile..
which she obviously saw.. n jus nodded..
“Darshana.. hang on.. I’ll b done in
few mins..” n she left the room..
Darshana kept playin with her cell..
Standing with the mechanic, his eyes were on the car
parked outside her home..
“ I have temporarily started the engine.. but we
need to go n fix a few components at the garage..”
“Oh k.. then will you take the car along..? How much
time will that take?”
“ I can drive it till the garage, and it will take
about 15-20 mins there.. will be done then..”
“ oh kk..” He was not thinking straight.. his eyes
were glued to the car..
“I’ll take the car.. its jus around the corner, next
to café purple.. and then I’ll tell Jeremy to drop it at your place..”
the words 'café purple' struck a chord in his
head..
“Where.. where did you say your garage is..??”
“ jus next to café purple.. on the 11th Street..”
“okay.. ok.. what we’ll do is.. I’ll come along..
you do what to have to cause I’ll be needing my car tomorrow for office..”
“okay.. but it will take time..”
“yaa ya.. Not a problem..”
He sat in the car.. but was waiting for the car from
her gate to move first..
as he sat, he heard a car behind him start.. the
honking made him realize that it was the same car.. the car passed by.. he was
wondering: did she go..? or was she successful in making an excuse..?
